Our Brooklyn-based digital production company is run as an artisan-studio, with care and concern for production based on the highest standards of craftsmanship. Our clientele includes both fine art and commercial photographers and the work we produce for our artists are in the permanent collections of museums, including the Guggenheim and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. In addition, KAS has provided consultation on and digitization of permanent collections as well as exhibit printing and large-format display printing for a growing list of museums, historical societies, and other institutions with photographic collections. Ken Allen Studios, L.L.C, expanded recently by opening a sister company in Washington DC - Ken Allen Digital, L.L.C. in order to serve our clients even better.
The Challenge:
Throughout the year we set aside time to test new methods and papers, experimenting and challenging ourselves so we are always improving and refining our production. Our clients are exacting and visionary; their experiments in photography and with Photoshop push us to find new processes to help them achieve their vision.
The Promise:
With new technologies in printing and digitization, new standards in scanning, and best practices for archival digitization of collections constantly being developed, we look at the latest and the best advances in these areas. It is the incorporation of research, practice, and our artisanal approach, which enables us to promise that our work for you meets the highest standards in the field.
Ken Allen Studios, L.L.C, has been founded in 2005 and has expanded in 2008 by establishing a sister company in Washington DC - Ken Allen Digital, L.L.C. in order to serve our clients better.
